East Coast Retreat
What was once a dated, underutilized pied-à-terre on Canada's East Coast has been reimagined entirely, transformed into a refined transitional contemporary retreat that feels as though it has always belonged here.
The design is built on restraint and intention. A softened neutral palette forms a calm foundation, layered with natural textures, bespoke cabinetry, and tailored furnishings that draw quietly on the coastal setting without ever stating it outright. Clean modern lines are balanced by warm, enduring materials, and each room carries the kind of cohesion that only comes from a design considered as a whole rather than assembled in parts.
Thoughtfully integrated lighting and a careful re-examination of spatial flow breathe new life into every corner, from the kitchen and principal rooms through to the ensuites and guest spaces. The result is an interior that is both sophisticated and deeply livable, equally suited to a solitary weekend escape and the ease of effortless entertaining.
This project was delivered as a complete full-service engagement, managed in its entirety on behalf of clients based in Alberta, covering everything from initial concept and trade coordination through to furniture procurement, styling, and move-in day.
