As the premier Halifax Interior decorator, my first and primary goal at Iris Interiors is to solve our clients’ design problems in an organized, inspiring and stress-free manner. Every step of the way, my team will work closely with you to ensure your experience with a new build, renovation, or furnishings is exceptional. The end product will be an impeccably designed and curated piece of luxury, one that you can truly live and thrive in. Whether it’s a new construction build or a turn-key interior furnishings project, my team follows the same comprehensive steps that were perfected and developed after years of experience for all of our client's needs. My years of experience gives you greater access to exclusive lines of furnishings, artwork, fabrics, and finishings — everything you need for luxe living that lasts.

Step 01
Discovery Call 

The first step in our process is to schedule a complimentary discovery call. During this conversation, we will talk about your design needs, share details of our process, and determine whether our services are a good fit for you.

Step 02

All projects start with an in-home design consultation. We will spend up to 2 hours evaluating your design needs, addressing problem areas and discussing possible solutions. We can also address any other questions you may have during this working meeting.  As we go through your home, we will provide you with actionable design advice while we gather information to create a detailed scope of work.

We also offer a new home build consulting service where we can meet at the location of your choice to evaluate house plans and provide guidance on choosing finishes for the interior and/or exterior of your new home. Our goal is to help you create a space that reflects your personality and works for your lifestyle.

$495 + tax

(A mileage fee will be charged for clients outside of the HRM)

If you are a busy professional who would like to come home at the end of your workweek and simply relax in a beautifully customized space, this is the service for you. Eliminating the stress and guesswork of your project is what we do best. This full-service option includes a comprehensive creative concept, sourcing all selections, start-to-finish project management and supervised installations. We do everything from start to finish and deliver a beautiful interior that is a perfect reflection of who you are.

  • Will you give me choices?
    Yes. While I hope to have the optimum plan, after meeting and understanding you and your space and your style, I may bring forth a couple choices or a couple fabrics that still fall in line with our concept and vision but give you the chance to finalize details.
  • Do you provide interior decorating services outside of Halifax?
    Yes, I work with clients in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island. Interior decorating is in my blood!
  • Do you assure that my space will reflect me?
    Absolutely! From clients who don’t know their own style to clients who have it completely pinpointed, I truly do bring you into the space and complete the project unlike anything you could imagine. Part of the JOY of our job is working with clients with different styles. I love building a relationship with our clients so I can learn about their likes, dislikes, wants, needs, and even if they can’t put it all into words, I will still bring forth the most fitting, life-changingly beautiful space!
  • Will you work with items I have?
    Yes! I am happy to make sure your antique French buffet works with your space if you want to hold onto it, and we’ll update it with a twist. While I push back on some pieces to guarantee you get the wow result you desire, I will always encourage you to share items I call artifacts. These items have meaning to you and you connect with them. We will make sure these artifacts which represent you, your family, or your past, will be showcased with the attention they deserve. This way you are not parting with sentimental valuables or items you cannot replace in this phase of redesign.
  • Do you back all your products with Warranties?
    All products are subject to the vendor’s warranty and return policies. The policies vary greatly depending on where the product was purchased.
  • Do you have the experience to handle different types of projects & budgets?
    Yes! I have done everything from commercial design projects to designing new custom window treatments for a room. Projects and needs come in all shapes and sizes and I welcome them all. I will help you envision what is needed to truly change how you live or work and how to budget for that to happen, no matter the size of the dream.
  • Do you finish your projects in a timely manner?
    Yes, this is a big part of the guarantee I have for my clients. The project timeline depends on the scope of work. I work very hard to stay on top of vendors, track shipments and receive on time, while always keeping you in the loop. I will create a wonderful reveal moment for you with a completely finished space.
  • How much should I set aside for design fees?
    Predicting design fees is difficult due to unforeseen issues, swiftness of decision making, among other things. If you set aside approximately 20-25% of the total budget, this should cover design fees and project management. But this is an approximation.
